Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Raga Dental Centre offers a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery and hospital dentistry services, including wisdom teeth removal and common extractions, dental implant placement, surgical management of facial deformities, pathology of the head and neck and maxillofacial region, maxillofacial trauma care, craniofacial surgery, trauma and reconstructive surgery and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders.
Our consultants treat a range of conditions, including facial injuries, head and neck cancers, salivary gland diseases, facial deformities, facial palsies, facial pain, facial skin lesions, impacted teeth, cysts and tumours of the jaws, as well as mouth ulcers and infections
The specialty is unique, requiring a dual qualification in medicine and dentistry. Maxillofacial surgeons frequently work alongside other specialists including orthodontists, oncologists, neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons and ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeons
The oral surgery department provides care for patients with irregularities and pathology of the jaws and mouth that require surgical intervention. Although the surgical removal of teeth is the most common procedure performed in the department, we also manage hard and soft tissue pathology, oral infections and orofacial pain.
